Viking Plastics’ Planter Box Water Tank is a raised garden bed sitting on top of a rainwater collection and storage tank.

Water Tank

One of the great features of Viking tanks is that they are completely watertight and leak proof.  Paneltim® plastic construction panels are used to fabricate the water tank. Paneltim® is an innovative 50mm thick, dual skin sandwich panel suitable for above or below ground installation. The panels are robust, have superior rigidity and strength in length and width.  As a result, Viking’s water tanks can also function as a retaining wall or fence. Paneltim® is also UV stabilised to stand up to Australia’s harshest conditions.

The water tank receives its water via a downpipe diversion to the inlet of the water tank.  A tank overflow pipe is connected back to the downpipe.  Two outlet nozzles are located at the base of the tank. One nozzle could typically be used for a sight glass. The other could have a pump connected to access water outflow.

The water tank can be clad in a range of options to suit any decor.

Planter Box

The planter box water tank has a removable 6mm polyethelyne plant box liner. The planter box is suitable for plants, shrubs and vegetables with shallow root systems.

With the addition of a small solar powered pump, the planter box water tank functions as a stand-alone self-watering garden bed. Run off water drains from the planter into the water tank for re-use. The ultimate in water conservation!
